Where the boat stops on the Lido
The Lido is the long island that separates the Venice lagoon from the Adriatic Sea. Our water taxi stops at Santa Maria Elisabetta, the main landing on the lagoon side, or at Hotel Excelsior if you are staying there.
Choose "Lido Santa Maria Elisabetta" or "Hotel Excelsior" as destination in the form: the price changes with the landing and you see it before booking.
From the airport
During the day, from the airport the service is combined: a driver meets you at the arrivals exit with a sign showing your name, takes you by private minivan to Piazzale Roma, and the water taxi crosses the lagoon to the Lido. At night, between 22:00 and 07:00, the boat leaves directly from the airport water taxi dock.
When you book you give us your flight number, so we can track your arrival. If your plans change, let us know as soon as you can and we move the service at no extra cost.
From the station, Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto
The water taxi leaves directly from the station or the car park and takes you to the Lido without changing boats. From the station you give us your train number, so we can track your arrival.
If you arrive by car you can leave it at Tronchetto or Piazzale Roma and continue to the Lido by boat with all your luggage.
Leaving the Lido
The service works both ways at the same price. Choose the Lido or Hotel Excelsior as departure and the airport, the station, Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto as destination. Towards the airport, during the day, the water taxi takes you to Piazzale Roma, where the private minivan is waiting; at night it takes you straight to the airport dock.
For every departure, call us 20 minutes before the pickup time: we give you the boat number and the captain's name. The phone number is at the bottom of the page.
What the price includes
The price is per boat: up to 4 passengers and 5 bags are included, and the boat carries a maximum of 8 passengers.
Each piece of luggage can measure up to 90 × 75 × 65 cm, with a maximum of 10 pieces per boat. Departures between 22:00 and 07:00 have a night supplement, added by the form when you choose the time.
- Passengers: up to 4 included, extra charge for each additional passenger (maximum 8).
- With 1–4 passengers: 5 bags included, extra charge for each additional bag.
- With 5–8 passengers: one bag per person included, extra charge for each additional bag.
- Night supplement for departures between 22:00 and 07:00.
Weather, waiting and cancellation
Crossing the lagoon depends on the weather: with extreme weather or exceptional high tide a route can change or stop for a while. We contact you straight away to agree another meeting point or move the service at no extra cost.
The first 10 minutes of waiting are included, even if you are delayed; after that, waiting is charged for every further 10 minutes. Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before pickup; between 48 and 24 hours before, half the price is charged; with less than 24 hours' notice, or if you do not show up, the full price is charged.

No, it is per boat. The form shows the total for your whole group, with passengers and bags included, before you book.
