How the transfer works
During the day, a driver waits for you at the arrivals exit with a sign showing your name and takes you by private minivan to Piazzale Roma, the last point reachable by road. Your boat is already booked and waiting there.
At Piazzale Roma you step from the minivan to the boat with your luggage, without queues or tickets. The water taxi takes you to the landing closest to your hotel in the historic centre, on the Lido, on Giudecca or to the island hotels.
Minivan, boat or both
To and from the airport the service depends on where you go and when:
During the day, to hotels, the historic centre, the Lido, the islands and the station: minivan + boat. The private minivan takes you from the airport to Piazzale Roma, the water taxi to the landing.
During the day, to Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto: minivan only, no boat.
At night, between 22:00 and 07:00: boat only for every transfer, from the airport water taxi dock.
Before you leave
For every departure, call us 20 minutes before the pickup time: we give you the boat number and the captain's name. The phone number is at the bottom of the page.
After booking you receive an email with the summary of your trip. Once the service is confirmed you also receive a voucher with your route, date, time, passengers and bags, which you can show on your phone.
At night, water taxi only
Between 22:00 and 07:00 the service is by boat only, with no minivan: the water taxi leaves directly from the airport water taxi dock, about a 10-minute walk from the arrivals exit along a covered path (follow the signs for Water Transport). The route price is the same, plus the night supplement.
On the way to the airport, too, the boat takes you directly to the airport dock at night.
If your flight is late
When you book you give us your flight number, so we can track your arrival and coordinate minivan and boat. If your travel plans change, let us know as soon as you can and we move the service at no extra cost.
The first 10 minutes of waiting are included, even if you are delayed; after that, waiting is charged for every further 10 minutes. A no-show or a last-minute cancellation is charged in full.
Where the boat takes you
In the historic centre the water taxi stops at the landing closest to your hotel. For hotels on the inner canals the drop-off is at the nearest reachable landing: some canals can be closed by the tide or by traffic rules, and the captain takes you as close as possible.
Outside the centre we serve the Lido, Giudecca and the island hotels: Hotel Excelsior, San Clemente Palace, JW Marriott Venice and Hilton Molino Stucky. Transfers to Murano, Burano and Torcello are not part of this service.
What the price includes
The price is per boat, not per person: up to 4 passengers and 5 bags are included, and the boat carries a maximum of 8 passengers. Return trips cost the same as the outbound route.
Each piece of luggage can measure up to 90 × 75 × 65 cm, with a maximum of 10 pieces per boat. Departures between 22:00 and 07:00 have a night supplement: the form adds it automatically when you choose the time.
- Passengers: up to 4 included, extra charge for each additional passenger (maximum 8).
- With 1–4 passengers: 5 bags included, extra charge for each additional bag.
- With 5–8 passengers: one bag per person included, extra charge for each additional bag.
- Night supplement for departures between 22:00 and 07:00.
Back to the airport
For the return choose your hotel or address as departure and the airport as destination. During the day the service runs the other way round: the water taxi picks you up at the landing closest to your hotel, takes you to Piazzale Roma and the private minivan takes you to the airport. Choose a pickup time that leaves you enough margin for check-in.
Bad weather and high tide
With extreme weather or exceptional high tide (acqua alta) some routes can change or stop for a while, for the safety of passengers and crew. In that case we contact you straight away to agree another meeting point or move the service at no extra cost.
Minivan only to Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto
During the day, if you are staying near Piazzale Roma or have parked at Tronchetto, you can book the private minivan on its own, without the boat.
Cancellation
Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before pickup. Between 48 and 24 hours before, half the price is charged; with less than 24 hours' notice, or if you do not show up, the full price is charged. To cancel, write to us or call: the contacts are at the bottom of the page.

Is the price per person or per boat?
Per boat, not per person. The form shows the total for your whole group, with passengers and bags included, before you book.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
We track your flight with the number you give us when booking. If your plans change, tell us as soon as possible and we move the service at no extra cost.
Can I book the return trip to the airport?
Yes. Choose your hotel or address as departure and the airport as destination: the return costs the same as the outbound route.
How far in advance must I book?
If you book online between 8:00 and 16:59, departure must be at least 3 hours later; if you book between 17:00 and 7:59, at least 16 hours later. For an earlier departure, contact us: phone and email are at the bottom of the page.
